At Hans & Grietje, known for its enchanting fairytale environment, we have made an exciting addition to our adventurous terrain in 2023: the Haunted House. As the newest addition to our beloved pancake house, the Haunted House offers an unforgettable experience for young and old. The design, created in collaboration with architectural firm EEvolv3D from Harderwijk, reflects our passion for detail and thematic authenticity.
Chuckles and horrors
This hair-raising adventure extends over 99 square meters and includes a labyrinth of climbing options, two impressive slides and hair-raising scenes. Kids can expect bags of blood, witches, terrifying masks, bats and tombstones, all with interactive elements and scare effects such as shaking floors and surprising air blasts from below.
Upon arrival, you will be greeted by a squirting witch, a dangling spider and a flying witch on a broomstick that adorn the facade of the Haunted House. For the realization, we worked closely with local companies such as construction company Van der Heijkant from Biddinghuizen and Van den Bosch Installatietechniek from Harderwijk, while the slides were supplied by Icelander from Oldebroek.
Imagine: an enchanting wooden play structure that invites children to give free rein to their adventurous spirit. With its robust structure and natural appearance, the Witches Lock is not just an ordinary climbing frame. It is a playground where fantasies come to life and little explorers push their boundaries.

With multiple slides that shoot down like lightning, this playground equipment offers an adrenaline rush that will bring a big smile every time. Climbing opportunities in all directions let kids test their agility and courage as they charge to the top, just like adventurers in search of treasure.
Surrounded by the smell of fresh wood and the sound of cheerful cries, this playground equipment is the heart of outdoor play fun. It’s not just a place to play, but a place to forge friendships and create memories that will last a lifetime.
During the corona lockdown at the end of 2020 and the beginning of 2021, we created an enchanting water park, complete with an amazing attraction: the Magic Witch Tree. Located on our vibrantly colored square, water fountains spout up as the children have fun on hot summer days. The Witch Tree is not just any tree; he appeals to the imagination with his stories and enchants young and old with his magical presence. Discover with us the wonders of this unique place where fun and fantasy come together.
2018 was an exciting year for us when we opened the Big Candy Tower, a true attraction in our park. This tower not only offers a cozy bar and a delicious sweet shop, but also a unique opportunity for guests to prepare their own pancakes and enjoy them at long, inviting tables. The self-service concept gives our visitors the freedom to take their drink directly from the kitchen to their seats, creating an informal and relaxed atmosphere. The Great Candy Tower is a true paradise for our younger guests: here they can exchange their Witch Coin for a delicious selection of sweets.
Outdoor bar
The success of the Big Candy Tower inspired us to further improve our guest service in 2019, especially during the busy summer days. We proudly introduced our outdoor bar, a welcome addition to our terrace surrounding the sparkling water park. This outdoor bar offers guests the opportunity to get their own refreshing drinks, allowing them to enjoy their time outdoors even faster. At the same time, our service staff ensure that the terrace area is optimally served, so that every guest can effortlessly relax and enjoy their stay with us.
With the Great Candy Tower as the centerpiece of our hospitality and the outdoor bar as an innovative addition, we remain committed to making every visitor experience at Hans & Grietje unforgettable, full of taste, fun and comfort.
